Utilize bulk messaging via Texts and Inbox for more efficient communication with your customers.
Primary Audience: Salespeople
The bulk messaging feature on the Clients page streamlines CRM functionality, allowing users to segment customers and communicate directly from one platform. This saves time and expands user outreach. A key aspect of the bulk messaging feature is that all messages are sent individually (i.e. not as a group message).
Initiating communication from the Portal consolidates conversations in one accessible location, removing the need to search through personal devices for customer messages. Additionally, users receive notifications for customer replies.
Key Callouts:
- Text message contact number is configured to be unique to your organization
- Texts are stored exclusively in the Platform; they do not sync back to the ERP
- Conversation history is accessible to all users with access to the customer accounts.
There are two ways to send messages in bulk via the Portal:
- Text Messages
- Inbox Messages
Text Message
Once you have identified the group of clients to be contacted, follow these steps to send a bulk text message:
- Select all relevant clients
- Click the “Send Message” bulk action
- Select the “Text” option
- Enter your message, and attach any necessary files
- Supported image file types: JPEG, JPG, PNG, GIF
- Total size of attachments allowed: 5 MB
- Send the message
- Reminder: messages are sent individually
Customer replies are accessed within the "Text Message" widget on the Client profile. You can view and respond to customer messages directly from here, or access the full conversation history by clicking the “See All Text Messages” link.
Inbox Message
Similarly, once you have identified the group of clients to be contacted, follow these steps to send a bulk Inbox message:
- Select all relevant clients
- Click the “Send Message” bulk action
- Select the “Inbox” option
- Enter your message, and attach any necessary files
- Files types NOT supported: 'exe', 'scr', 'apk', 'dmg'
- Total size of attachments allowed: 250 MB
- Send the message
- Reminder: messages are sent individually
Customer replies will be delivered directly to your Inbox. You can view and respond to customer messages from here to continue the conversation as needed.
Use cases:
- Filter customers by a specific Tag to contact (ex. $7 Corn customers)
- Using Advanced Filters to segment Grain customers to contact regarding Storage deals
- Notify customers about last-minute Product deals or updates
- Remind customers about their remaining available funds
