Utilize filters as an effective way to segment your customers for targeted marketing communications.
Primary Audience: Marketing Leads, Admins
Targeted contact lists offer a unique way to accurately (and strategically) segment your customers to effectively reach them with marketing content. The customer data used when creating contact lists is pulled directly from your ERP. This allows you to leverage the most accurate and up-to-date information available when designing and executing marketing campaigns for specific customer segments. Bonus: by using targeted contact lists, you can avoid the dreaded “spamming” effect for your customers!
There are five different types of contact lists. The table below highlights each type, offers a brief explanation, and lists an example of how each can be utilized.
Follow the steps below to create a targeted contact list. This example will walk through the creation of a Dynamic Client List for customers who have spent any amount during the current crop year.
- Navigate to the Marketing tab.
- Click on “Contact Lists” in the horizontal navigation bar.
- Click on “Create Contact List” in the upper right corner.
- Set your filter fields and click “Apply Filter”.
- In this example, we are filtering for all clients who bought any $ amount in the current crop year.
- Give your new Dynamic Client List a custom name and then click “Save”
- You will then be able to access this list and easily select it to send marketing communications to in the future.
