Capitalize on the ability to assign Customers to specific Business Units within the Platform.
Primary Audience: All Internal Users
Internal Users will benefit from the ability to assign Customers to specific Business Units, as it will allow them to segment their customer base. Accurately assigning Business Units to Customers will be useful during numerous platform activities, which include the ability to facilitate targeted marketing campaigns, filtering Customers for sales purposes, and maintaining up-to-date records to increase communication and customer rapport.
Customers will also benefit from being assigned to the proper Business Units by having only relevant tabs visible to them within the Customer Portal. This is especially important for those who are only home-heat energy customers.
Business units can be assigned during initial account setup or changed as needed later by simply editing an existing account.
Follow these simple steps to assign the relevant business unit(s) onto a Customer account:
- Once in the Team Hub, navigate to the Client Profile for a new or existing customer.
- Scroll down to the Business Units field.
- Click into the field and select or deselect the desired Business Units.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save to confirm the changes.
Example: You wish to accurately categorize those who are only home-heat energy customers.
